How To Spruce Up Your Bathroom Sink

You probably already suspect that your living room is the most popular room in the house. However, you may be surprised to learn that the second most popular room is the bathroom. Yes, anyone who walks into your house may go to the bathroom at some point. When you doing room improvement, never forget your bathroom’s facelift too.

First off, begin with your sink.

There are many sink designs out on the market today.  If you have the standard porcelain sink in your bathroom; change it to something a bit more decorative like a hand blown glass sink.
When you start looking at sinks, you’ll notice that you have a choice between a modern console style sink and one that is mounted to a wall. What is a modern console style? It’s a combination of a pedestal sink and the 1920s vanity unit. However, these units are rather expensive, costing in upwards of $800. However, if you are looking for that early 20th century feel, then this is your sink.

Due to its increasing popularity, console sinks are like furniture. There is a broad range of designs, colors and materials that make them up that can go inside a countertop or sit on top of it. Using these sinks can create an eye-catching look in your bathroom.

Second, look at your faucets.

Your bathroom faucets should also be upgraded. Whether you want something simple or you want something contemporary, there are tons of faucets being sold and odds are one of them will catch your eye.

Do you want a faucet that can mix both hot and cold water with a single handle? These work well for young children and seniors. Or do you want each water type to have its own handle?

However, one type of faucet gaining in popularity is the motion-activated faucet. All you have to do is place your hands underneath and the water turns on. You find these in many public restrooms.

These are just some of the many ideas. Just remember… any sink and faucet combination should fit the look you want to have in your bathroom.
